Isn't the converted price $3.25 in Penasco and I bet he meant 18 pesos/liter (not 8) but he could better answer. Usually Penasco is cheaper on gas than the border

Jerry, you said "The difference is the drug cartels now control Sonoyta......the town is a shell of what it was 15 years ago...." We drive through Sonoyta, eating at our favorite taqueria, every other week. Whether or not your statement is true, how is Sonoyta any different than Caborca?

When I do distance from Tucson to Santo Tomas it says 5 hours 15 minutes, which is about right since we drove that way a year ago and it took about 6 hours to get to Miramar. Obviously we go the highway 86 to 85 route at under 4 hours.

I really like that coffee shop-the coffee is fresh roasted there and delish!
