    Satisfied Frog shutting down

Food was always better than what you would find along the Malecon. The atmosphere was also great. I hope somebody brings it back to life because there aren't enough places in RP that make a pizza like you guys did.

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

I've read it's a zinc based anti bacterial, also saw a FB post saying it's a silver based solution. Pinto Point Rick may chime in with some info as he went thru the tent a few weeks ago.

Seadoo GTX (Cholla Bay Addition) DNF'd Memorial Weekend

Joe, if there are any vertical lines up and down the bore that catch a finger nail usually means the cylinder needs to be bored. You should buy a hone (pretty cheap) and run it thru the cylinder a few times to see how it cleans up. After you hone it if there's still lines present that catch...

    Cholla Powder coating

Pretty amazing they are so much in Canada. I see people selling Mirage units in Phx for $50-100 more then Penasco does. All 3 of my units were installed for an average of $50 each. In Phx they want $500+ to install.

    Satisfied Frog shutting down

I just saw that the Satisfied Frog is going to close permanently this weekend. Sad to hear. I wonder how many other places that have been around for awhile will survive the shutdown in Mexico and everywhere else.

    Cholla Powder coating

I have a Mirage mini-split that sits on my roof still doing pretty well avoiding rust since 2012. Trick is, I keep it covered when we're gone with a vinyl/leather look cover made in Penasco. I'm also pretty close to the water and the cover is off at least 50 days per year. I would like to know...

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

The Covid-19 cases in Mexico are really ramping up this week. I saw where AZ was supposed to peak June 20th. We'll see how this pans out for AZ and Mexico. If Mexico goes like Italy and other Euro countries it could be awhile before this peaks and passes. The charts included are showing the...

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

I'm sure we have all had people doing this to us, worse one I ever had was I've had my windshield washed waiting at the light by Rosy's restaurant (not by choice) only to have the guy's buddy try pulling my laptop bag off of my rear seat. Yes I had my back windows 1/2 way down. I saw the guys...

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

Now the big question, I owned in Cholla for years and visit Cholla 6-8 weeks per year. Will I be allowed to get thru the screening with any of the following CFE bill, property tax statement, home insurance policy, auto insurance policy? I Don't have a perm res card yet. Thoughts? Thx

Going back across the border 5/14/2020

JJ, you forgot all the people on PP Fans and a few other Penasco related groups who ask if the Boarder is open yet. Too many use their phones, so the auto correct kicks in, so border is usually spelled wrong and don't care to correct. There are some really clueless people on PP Fans also PP...

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

The bickering and name calling is on many sites, even on the Penasco FB sites, moderators stay on top of it there, probably too well. With the Political Circus we have going on in this country, with Dem's are stupid, Rep's are stupid being broadsided from each party it's going to be awhile...

    Cholla Powder coating

Joe, totally agree. Penasco and Steel Metal=Rust, Exterior Wood=Flying Termites, Cement=Erosion from Wind, sand and water. Painted and Varnished surfaces=Erosion from Wind, Sand and water or paint bubbling from humidity getting under it. Penasco=It's a tough environment that needs a lot of up...

Moving household goods with no visa

3 weeks for ours in Jan, normal processing. Mexico has never asked for my passport. If you're worried about getting back to the US your passport application copy and photo ID should suffice. I'd also take a copy of your birth certificate.

Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

Translated roughly from De Frente: ARMED FACE BETWEEN STATE POLICE AND MALANDROS IN THE REGION OF THE AND GREEGA With high-power bursts, armed civilians tried to tear down the State Police helicopter on a day of armed crash that has developed for several hours this Sunday. Elements of the State...

    Cholla Powder coating

That's for sure, the wind and sand are trouble. In Phx, I repaint my house exterior every 8-10 years, my place in Cholla every 3 years. In Cholla if you look at the concrete power poles close to the water on the upper 1/3 of them (south east side of them) the concrete has been eroded away from...

    Cholla Powder coating

Any thing steel doesn't do very well close to the ocean even with powder coating. Powder coating does better vs regular paint, my experience in Cholla Bay, PC paint life is 2X that of regular paint. Heck, I'm 150 feet from the water in Cholla and even my concrete pillars and bond beam...

Going back across the border 5/14/2020

I was told today, by a Cholla neighbor who went down Tues, that he needed Both his Permanent Residence card and a utility bill to get past the check point and it will be that way until June 16th assuming all goes well and Phase 3 is implemented. The residency card is the key apparently.
