Someone better hurry, build that port!

I enjoyed the article, and when checking the prices - decided that $3000/couple for an interior room at a minimum is just far too much to pay at this time. It will be interesting to see how that first voyage works out, hopefully we get some honest reporting and reviews. We had checked previously...

    Corrupt police?

I have replied to that thread on TA (#10 and others) - it seems a LOT of those posts are from people with only one or maybe a few posts on TA - I would recommend you search this forum for a more accurate measure of people who frequent Rocky Point. We feel VERY safe there, and have been...

    Chari Ainsworth, our Lady Jeeper.

Jack, Thanks for posting that, I know that a number of us here on the forum have been waiting to hear more news about Chari's passing. Please send Kris a link to this thread if you would - I'm sure her Mom and family would like to read the many posts here from Chari's RP family. We will take...

    border crossing over Thanksgiving?

Landshark, I was hoping it was a joke, but given the mood lately, not assuming anything. Your tagline indicates you're kind people :) I don't post much anymore, except when its close to making a trip to PDO.

Not planning on driving thru Tijuana, I asked about Lukeville. Give it a rest already, lighten up and be kind.

    border crossing over Thanksgiving?

We'll be driving the RV thru Lukeville again on our way to PDO - is there anything new we should know about at the duty-free store, the actual border crossing or Sonoyta? Our last crossing was in April, after the Holidays. Thanks - we like to stop for cig-butts and booze at duty-free store, then...

The memorial service for my sister, Chari Ainsworth.

I wish we could make it, but we'll already be at PDO by then - it seems somehow appropriate I guess. We'll raise a toast to her while on the beach, and take a walk up to her trailer in the north 40 and have a moment there too. RIP LadyJeeper :-(

    Chari Ainsworth, our Lady Jeeper.

Thanks Kenny, So sad about Chari, still have not heard about a memorial service or celebration of life. My email has probably changed a few times at least in 10 years. Are you coming down for Thanksgiving? Haven't seen you in a while......

    Chari Ainsworth, our Lady Jeeper.

So sad to hear this news - Chari was one of our first friends at PDO and here at the forum. We hope to hear about a memorial service for her soon, her sister posted something on her Facebook page. I've inserted a picture from a trip out to La Pinta from 2011, good times on the beach! I remember...

    Border Line is bad tonight

It's understood. We don't make the trip more than a couple times each year - so many other places to visit, only so much time. We do love the Mirador beach tho :-)

    Thoughts on El Mirador

We like staying at Playa de Oro rv park - it's quiet, and we're comfortable there. Have never stayed at any other RV parks in town, but do enjoy a beer or 2 out at the Reef at times. The beach along the Mirador is the attraction, like Stuart mentioned. I have to stop buying blankets at some...

    Shrimp Buying

Sea Products on Sinaloa is the best for shrimp - we always stop on the way in, and sometimes on the way out of town too. Found the U12's are just as tasty as the U10's - and a couple dollars cheaper too. Still a VERY large shrimp! And they do last for months and months in the deep freeze - no...
