I've always had the best luck shore fishing when there are waves crashing. When the water is just flat and dead the fish are out in deeper water it seems like. 3+ footers wont be good for fishing but will be good for swimming

Accuweather is drunk then I take it? I see scorching temps for next weekend and everything else showing mid to low 80s. We will be down next thursday for about a week and keeping a close eye on these "forecasts".

Its a shovelnose for sure. I've never caught any during the day, only at night. Cool to hear it tastes good!

I haven't fished out on a boat in years. Went out with Hammer once and had a blast but not sure hes around anymore so cant recommend anyone specifically. Ill keep an eye out for the yellow yak over there if i make the trip to the estuary.

Ill be down with a large group in LC from the 6th to the 11th. I will be shore fishing as usual and hoping for the best. Will get the kayaks out as well and fish. Best of luck to all cant wait to get down there!

What do you suggest the smallest size outboard that would cut it out there given calmer waters? Looking at aluminum deep V 14 footers and motor size is my determining factor. Thanks in advance

man you got that thing dialed in now. good luck hope to see some good pics after or better yet gopro footage. I need to get some accessories on the ocean kayak we keep down at the condo. Im just lucky my rod sits nicely in one of the scupper holes for when im paddling.

ive fished from a boat a few times, mainly deep sea and pangas when i was younger. I could help you find water thats about it lol. Theres a ton of guys on here that know the waters and or can point you in the right direction.

Put together this video using iMovie. I recorded myself catching a bunch of fish using a GoPro 2 and a chesty mount. 2 bonefish and a fatty rock bass on a lure are the highlights of this for me. Cant wait t get back down again in Feb and June. Thanks
