The drive from border to RP is perilous!

I almost rear ended a tractor at night that was cruising at about 15 MPH halfway between Penasco & Sonoyta. There were no lights or reflectors on the tractor.

The drive from border to RP is perilous!

Yes, and I also have comprehension. NO ONE can speed going north to Sonoyta with the ever present radar cop & Red Cross stop. Please read Mexico Joe’s post.

The drive from border to RP is perilous!

In the Yucatan, on major 50 mph highways they have installed double speed bumps- they are well marked and have good signage and these speedbumps definitely slow traffic down.

The drive from border to RP is perilous!

Wrong again! No one can speed going north in to Sonoyta due to the always present radar cop and the red cross stop. The speeding between the two towns is very dangerous. One note: my friend was driving way too fast about half way between Sonoyta and Penasco, several years ago and we were pulled...

The drive from border to RP is perilous!

Wrong again. You got nothing but two wrong feet! I have seen NO ONE state that speeding is not a problem between the two cities. I have seen ONLY talk of the corrupt cops in Sonoita harassing non-speeders.

We have an AWD Mach E on order. Ford is killing the E vehicle market. The Maverick will come in a hybrid version, the F-150 Lightning is approaching us, the Mach E is out and our older Fusion Hybrid gets aroung 42 MPG in town. I never could understand why Toyota did not come out wiht a mini...

    On the Mexico Election

Well, not sure what you consider a more reliable news source but this article is reported in many news agencies around the world-I read similar stories several other countries news. Personally, I feel the WSJ is the least biased in any direction of any news source in the U.S.

The Police in Sonoita are out of control!

Queens is completely delusional, does not believe anyone and is supportive of corruption-maybe even on the take.

The Police in Sonoita are out of control!

The police harassment in Sonoyta means no stopping for tacos or beer in Sonoyta-the cops are corrupt, period, and it is hurting everyone’s economy. Filming works well, having your wife bitch them out works better. Maybe we all should just drive 4MPH through town and back up traffic, do this all...

The Police in Sonoita are out of control!

I have thought about doing this. I only bring color copies of my titles to Mexico, maybe a laminated color copy of my drivers license will help. The best is to let my wife drive, then when she gets pulled over for doing nothing she rips on the officers until they back away, and they have backed...

The Police in Sonoita are out of control!

It’s the crawl, stopping for eternity at stop signs and maybe saying a prayer. In general we make it with no issues-as most do but the impunity and wanton disrespect for any rule of law is a big reason Mexico is where it is at. Every single act of corruption hurts everyone in the country.

The Police in Sonoita are out of control!

A friend this past weekend was pulled over or stopping at a speed bump. Not only are the police 100% corrupt thet are asking for $180 for a speeding fine-much higher than many speeding fines in the states.
