OLD PORT entry and exit blocked

I saw that Sat and wondered what the hell was up. My wife hasn't seen the malecon since all the work has been complete, so we rolled that way, only to see all the construction equipment blocking everything. I figured another water main went pop or something, but we immediately turned and went...

Many Thanks and Bahia Kino Report

Dem der sierra is some MIGHTY FINE eating!!! Makes the best ceviche in Mexico! Believe it or not, they get even bigger. We hooked one trolling in Cabo a few years ago that was nearly twice that size. It was so big, I thought it had to be a wahoo, until I saw the orange spots on its side...

Fishing This Past Weekend - 6/8/9/10

There wasn't any. It just blew and blew and blew with whitecaps as far as the eye could see. Saturday, we measured windspeed on the 5th floor of Puerta Privada with a Kestrel - low gust of 14, high of 21 steady average of 17.5 mph. At the Roger Clyne show Sat. night, the cat El Gato Loco was...

After 45 Years I'm Wondering is there Value is in RP?

I've actually given up on Playa Inn. Very much downhill from what it used to be and I'm one that's been staying there since the 1st row of Inn Suites that it was back in the day. Sad, I've been a *loyal* customer all these years and watched it grow and have had some excellent stays there, many...

After 45 Years I'm Wondering is there Value is in RP?

Yeah, the days of a $100 weekend and still having some change in your pocket are long gone, amigo. Hell, I feel lucky if I can have $500 weekend these days. Doesn't make it bad, just makes it more expensive. I'm still trying to figure out what my beer budget should be for the show this Sat. night!

    Fishing Puerto Lobos

Hamachi Kama. This is a real treat and we now enjoy it regularly when we catch yellowtails. Basically, it's the shoulders of the fish, cut from the back of the head down to and including the two front bottom fins. You then break it to lie flat and cook it on the grill. The meat is fatty and...

    Fishing Puerto Lobos

The roosters are indeed a blast! Watching them chase your lure as you cast to them is like watching a billfish come up on a trolling lure. You'll get a lot of interested fish that will follow nearly to the boat, but not all are takers. Fish close in along the beach north of Lobos. You'll see...

    Fishing Puerto Lobos

Most everywhere in their range, there are always some "homeguard" yellowtail that hang out all year. Until they're caught, that is! Not the big bruisers that cruise in and out as the seasons change, but smaller fish.
