Yup....just around the corner from Iguana Banana....I only ate there once (upstairs)...but the food was great....and cheap!

Bill...is the restaurant part of Pink Cadillac, or separate? It seems that you can get food there when you go into Pinkies(with the pool).

Malecon.... Mary's for tacos, the combo platter or seafood soup(in aluminum foil), BooBar has good hamburgers or sliders, jumbo shrimp cocktail (mexican style) but is closed thru the midde of August. There is a 2 story taco/etc. place right around the corner from SharkBite and Iguana Banana...

On the hotel...the last time I stayed there was oprobably 6-7 years ago...I would compare the rooms (at least the one I had) to Super 8/Motel 6. They do have a pool area...again, not like the condo/resorts. They do pack in the spring breakers! Don't know if Balboa's restaurant is closed...

The Pirate cruise goes from next to Balboas Restaurant (now closed)....towards the end of Calle 13 (the marina by the Navy base)

Manny's Cantina is within very easy walking distance....breakfast/lunch/dinner. The Pithaya (down the street in front of Playa D'Oro RV Park) has breakfast...don't know about other meals...some of the other regulars will probably pipe up on that.

Is the entrance at about the halfway point coming down....at the little town, as you come around the curve?

My understanding is that if somewhat is caught and deported, it is almost impossible to get back in "legally".....I know of a few in Penasco who have come back from the states voluntarily(without getting caught/deported) to wait out their time....

Bill....trying to avoid the "pat on the back" some of this things can become...but all I did was to stir the pot a bit....I guess I have the rep for that on here. There are several people who have worked very hard on the matter, some quietly in the background.....prominent have been Rob(AZROB)...

Russ...is there any way you can find out what they plan on doing about fuel? Are they bringing it down from the states? What are the arrangements for crossing the border? Or are they having someone deliver from Mexico?...etc., etc., etc.?????

Several years ago, had to walk my dog in the middle of the night from PDO.....you should have seen the number of couples that were doing "their thing" on the beach in front after hooking up at the bar...and they didn't even have any blankets.....it was a wild place....

RP Kim...what they going to do for fuel? The mexican customs sure as hell aren't going to let them thru the border....at least not without some kind of duty??? That's one of the major concerns the jetski racers have for coming to Penasco to do any races....many run 109 octane, and they were...

It's the Bar/restaurant in front of Playa d'Oro RV Park.....used to be a wild place.... It's misspelled in the title of this thread. Pitaya or Pitayah....was renamed Sammy's for a while, but now it's back to old name.
