    Even More Ridiculous...

Given the conditions as they are today Joe, I think you are absolutley right. But, I also see what's going on with young people rioting in the Middle East and Europe, and demonstrating in Washington and New York... What I hope this means is that many young people want to take the original...

    Even More Ridiculous...

It doesn't even have to be someone close to you, or someone down the street. Have you all noticed how many "in memory of" stickers there are in the back windows of cars all over the state of AZ? Start looking closely at the dates- most are 18-22 year olds... If you start recognizing how...

    Even More Ridiculous...

The more I read and learn about the Corporate Nation I live in (the one that supplanted the "Country" that was founded via the conquest of the former native "Countries"); the more I understand where the phrase "God help us all..." came from. God help us all.

    Even More Ridiculous...

Also exactly right- but a "Constitution Free Zone" does not mean that Federal law does not apply- what it basically means is that citizens (subjects, peons, serfs) allegiant to ANY foreign sovereign (Legal Government Corporation) are subject to the legal oversight of the OTHER sovereign legal...

    Even More Ridiculous...

Exactly right- they either have to let you go, or arrest you. The thing to keep in mind, however, is that your refusal to consent to a search can be presented to a Judge as probable cause for your arrest, which basically exonerates them from facing a false arrest charge if they do take you into...

    Even More Ridiculous...

Probably a prudent precaution on your part... :) Just remember, the system is set up so the odds will always be stacked against the individual (in fact, the odds virtually guarantee that the individual will lose every time), so the trick, like Inka suggests, is to simply "go with the flow"...

    Even More Ridiculous...

Did they "tell" you to get out of the truck, or did they ask if you would please get out of the truck? The reason I ask is that a non-criminal "custodial investigation" requires your consent. If they ask (or tell) you to leave your vehicle and surrender your possessions to them, you can...

    Yak Report 10/15/11

When I see a thread titled "Yak report", I immediately begin thinking someone is going to tell a story that begins at JJ's or Manny's, and ends near a toilet (or in an alley behind a dumpster) I guess I need to train my brain to equate "yakking" with fishing. :)

Somebody Caught a REALLY Big Fish this Weekend!

From Wikipedia on the Grey Reef Shark: "Most individuals are less than 1.9 m (6.2 ft) long" - this makes yours a monster (unless Stuart is shrinking in his old age :) ) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_reef_shark

Small teeth, and those Gold coin eyes.... My Grey Reef Shark opinion grows stronger:

Somebody Caught a REALLY Big Fish this Weekend!

Blue sharks do not have a semi-detached dorsal fin, and they are really slim with long pectoral fins I can't see the eye clearly enough, but with the coloration, 5 gill slits, semi-detached dorsal fin and notched tail, my guess is Grey Reef shark (and a damn big one at that)

    Full Moon Fishing ??

Suprisingly, the best success I've had when surf fishing at night is with dark colored lures- something that throws a good sillouette. I had a rattle-trap lure that I spray painted black that I used to like to throw at night that I would catch corvina on. I never really had much luck with spoons...

    Full Moon Fishing ??

As others have mentioned, the full moon brings huge tides, and these can be great for fishing, but full moons also bring brighter nights, meaning more opportunities for fish to feed at night. The Corvinas (including white seabass) are naturally low light feeders, and I have had much luck...

    Big Roosterfish-Sea of Cortez w/lots o' pics

Fun trip! Nice roosters. A ton-o-fun on the light tackle. I think the small fish in the 6th pic is a baby Leopard Grouper (Sardinero)

    35,000 geoduck clams destroyed

Ugly- You get busted for breaking the law, and retaliate by destroying the efforts of people that are trying to generate a sustainable resource. Not cool.

I'M interested in meeting some people from this forum.

Matt, I went to the FRAG forum and saw your picture- I do remember you. I miss going to the FRAG meetings, but nowadays I can't pass on the chance to get out on the boat whenever the wind lets me. I thought that taking down my aquarium (which had been up for 10 years now) would be...

    Calderon is Correct !

I agree with you. The United States has the highest documented incarceration rate in the world, and the majority of these prisoners are in jail on drug charges. Yet, we are seen as the beacon of freedom in the world...? How is that? You are only free in America if you are not in jail, or if...

    Calderon is Correct !

So..... That means the only real solution is to turn 100% of "end-users" into "end-non-users".... yes? Yeah, I'm sure that can happen. Let's get right on that. :)
