The gas may be the same...but the diesel is Low Sulfur, not the Ultra Low Sulfur we're now getting in the states....on my previous truck (gas), I ran the mexican fuel...ad had no problems....same with my jetskis.

That's for diesel vehicles (2007 and newer) that require Ultra Low Sulfur fuel....

Mark...it looks like the waves have pushed it somewhat out of the harbor entrance area...and back towards the beach where it was aground for months....

Just saw these photos on FB...thanks to Stasha Noon and Plinio Rivero. Looks like last night's winds caused it to break loose...and now it looks like it's in the middle of the channel leading into the harbor!!! The first(up against the breakwater) is further out from where it was about a month...

They sell all kinds of fish also....and the prices are clearly listed (US$ and peso).... Besides being shorted on the weight (I carry a 5 lb dive weight if I'm really concerned and jokingly offer to check the scale), you have to watch some of the vendors on the malecon when they grab the shrimp...

Bill...when the new diesels came out and I was researching the topic...there was something that I read that indicated that Mexico had another designation for the ultra low sulfur diesel.....the "name" on the pumps/stations....and I haven't seen that on any of the pumps in Penasco (or Sonoyta)...

I had seen the stories about not using the mexican fuel for the newer vehicles...about gumming up stuff, etc....but my understanding is that old fuel (higher sulfur) has better lubricating properties????

I do the same on my 2006 Dodge diesel...get as much as I can in Mexico.....I believe Dodge switched over the ultra low sulfur fuel requirement in the 2007's.....it may be available in some parts of Mexico, but not in Penasco or Sonoyta.... there are a couple of Dodge Diesel Forums out...
