I have been driving thru Sonoyta for over 12 years and always slow down there and even know the stop sign locations even if they aren't. Never been stopped and never had to pay anything. Like Queen of Kings said " Slow Down" in town. I get more of hassle from the Feds after crossing the border...

Just heard the border suppose to reopen Jan 21st. which is the end of the p[resent restriction window. They US and MX may extend restriutions at that time. How is the people of Puerto Penasco doing? All must be hurting without tourism.

Hopefully things will lighten up by mid March 2021 when I plan on coming down.

I live in Arizona and agree with you about them going thru Sonoyta. But don't judge the whole state cause the dumb ones. I always drive cautiously thru Sonoyta especially those nonexistent stop signs that move. lol

Just got off the phone with Lukeville Border US and they says they do not plan to start any restrictions in or out of US. The only restrictions on travel is from Europe and China at this time. No testing either coming into US from MX at Lukeville.

I usually do what you mentioned about buying at Super Lay. They have always been a fair exchange rate. I also use the Bank on the corner of Freemont and Sinaloa but you need to brink your passport in for that. Today the rate is 21 Pesos to a US dollar. Time to buy!
