    Is there a beer shortage?

I guess we need to slow down with our beer consumption to help correct the beer shortage situation.

    Is there a beer shortage?

The Modelo/Corona/Pacifico plant was scrapped after 50% built. Not enough H2O in Tij/Mexicali area to support it. It's being relocated to Monterrey.

    BIG BLOW ON THE WAY

I agree with Russ. There are 2 sewer waste treatment plants for the resorts that I'm aware of (are all hooked up?) One at the west end of Cholla Mall, another one North of the Sonoran properties. They use the recycled water for the golf courses and to water the road to Cholla Bay. If those...

    JJ's Cantina re-opening

Today the new owners of JJ's had their soft opening. It's a nice long needed update to the old JJ's. It finally has A/C in the main bar area. A few of the employees from the old place are still working there. Cesar especially. Cholla Bay seemed pretty quiet during it's shut down during the huge...

    How the weather today

It's hotter inside your house than outside. My place in Cholla is the same 94-95 degrees when we open up our house during the summer. The mini-splits run for 3-4 hours before it's under 85. People really need to like the heat and humidity to go this time of the year.

    How the weather today

Weather is just starting to turn nasty, not too bad last week. But the dew points are in the 70s now. When you see the low stay above 83 at night it's over for decent weather till Oct. Wind is 5mph in the am and 15 in the afternoon.

Those sidewalks are very close to my place. Driving into Cholla drive past the Six-Tecate store veering to the left of it, go another 70 yards to Calle K (there's a sign) Yellow house on the left and a big blue place on the right of that turn left. Drive up to the top of the hill where it...

    Tijuana Flights!

On Sunday we took the road out to the Miramar beaches via Freemont connecting to Highway #3. There are stretches where the road is OK. But every mile of so there are areas of pot holes mainly in the middle of the road. I saw some that were 6 inches deep by 3-5 feet wide and long. We drove...

In Sonoyta on Thursday Magna was 18.49 per liter, $3.48 per gallon at 20.2-1. Reg at Costco in Scottsdale was $3.99 today. The 3 Circle K's I went by were still at $4.69. But prices are Slowly coming down, I figure by Oct, gas will be $3.50ish.

Lots of pangas a few miles out south of Penasco

They are probably harvesting shrimp like they did last year. My local buddy was camping at La Casa de la Playa, (north of Black Mtn) this time last year, he had a few pangas come to ashore to sell him colossal shrimp, 4 to a pound. He bought some and said many of the shrimp they cleaned were...

Crossing the border with home improvement items

50 feet after you cross into Mexico there is an area where you turn to the left with a building and parking for declaring items and paying duty. There is a blue sign with an arrow saying declaration. Duty is 19% of the declared value. If you can get/make some doctored receipts that will save...
