    Driving to Mazatlan.

I've made the trip a few times, but not recently. Was there last week of May, but we flew down. Didn't have the extra days needed to drive there and back.

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Well, that's optimistic! (sarcasm) If he becomes adored by the poor as their hero (which is more or less what elected him already), I would worry more about those high on the money/power totem pole taking him out. Especially as Jerry mentioned above, he is refusing bodyguards or living in a...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Al Jazeera, BBC, Washington Post, and several others. Don't put me in the Alex Jones camp, Jerry. You KNOW better than that!

Never said he was. Where did you infer that? I was addressing Venezuela specifically.

Anybody But Me Been Hearing This Ad on the Radio???

They'll bring it back to life a few years up the road, after everyone has forgotten all the stolen money and what a disaster it was, Jerry. These things have a mysterious way of reincarnating, after time erases all the initial flaws.

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Blame the messenger, but ignore the message. Typical. I don't watch Fox news, other than some local reporting. I get and read the newspaper everyday. And read a variety of Internet news feeds that are non-partisan. Probably some of the same ones you read. Again, lame Jerry. Lame.

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Venezuela is collapsing under its own weight as I type this. We don't need to play God there. Maduro's days are numbered. I firmly believe the water crisis they are now experiencing will be the straw that breaks his back. The people will rise and take back their country. The protests in the...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Really? A "But Bush!" in this day and age? Lame, Jerry, lame. 2018 calling on line 1...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Do you agree or not agree with what I posted, Jerry? Doesn't matter, really, the numbers are what they are. The point is still the same -- it takes a lot of taxes and money to run a socialist utopia. When you open the doors to mass immigration of unskilled labor (Muslims in their case) that...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

You'd have to prove that one to me against the numbers listed above. The effective tax rate for most middle income Americans hovers around 20 to 25%, even with sales tax and such. Obviously, the rich pay more, while the poor pay much less. Look up Earned Income Credit sometime. The poor get...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

And if you read upon the political climate in Northern Europe, there is a shift in support to strongly conservative groups and voting them into the power. The populace has smelled the roses, so to speak, and is tired of having up to 60% + of their income sucked up by taxes to support all the...

    Understanding the 2018 Mexican Election

Was reading on this. Most brutal election ever. Over 120 candidates and campaign workers murdered. I hope Mexico is happy with their version of Bernie Sanders. I would be very apprehensive if I owned property there due to the "Robin Hood" effect of steal from the rich gringos and give to the...

What's up with the Federales stopping everybody yesterday and searching the Vehicles.

Who takes money OUT of Mexico? Hahaha! The bigger concern has always been drug money coming INTO Mexico. The drugs flow out, the money flows in, and so it goes. Meh. I'm clueless and I never have anything that could be considered contraband, so no biggie. Dig through my dirty underwear and fishy...

What's up with the Federales stopping everybody yesterday and searching the Vehicles.

Well okay then... but it still begs the question "Why?" Drugs? Training? Why the hell would they care if it's LEAVING Mexico, the US does a pretty good job if secondary is required. I don't see what this accomplishes other than pissing people off.

What's up with the Federales stopping everybody yesterday and searching the Vehicles.

Odd... on the way OUT of Mexico? They must have been looking for something very specific. That isn't a general practice that I've ever seen.

Land reclamation at the top of Cholla Bay

Do remember the road to Cholla Bay being underwater on a few occasions. Used to love seeing the bay completely empty, sit at JJ's and have a few beers and before you knew it, water would be slapping up against the seawall out back. Always kind of an amazing thing.
