Jerry, they have already, using eminate domain laws have started taking parts of ejidos from El Golfo to Penasco, but here they are being paid or will get paid, but not too much. One Ejido based in San Luis received they're check and decided not to even split it up...not worth the trouble...Ejido Lopez has approximately 26, 000 hectares inside the nucleus of the Pinacate reserve and will probably be taken, under eminate domain law... The ejidos in these parts have really only been good for one thing, let the poor ass members work for years and years taking care of the land, and then when it looks like it might be worth something.....Bam that's when they find out they were only baby sitting the land for the rich......thought I might add about Lopez nothing privatized will be touched, so don't get excited, they only want what is east of the railroad tracks..

One hundred percent with the help of the federal government...there is more to the story than what is being told,its about compensation for a lawsuit against the feds, by a group.... I know part of the story but not enough to post anything factual..And the part I know about isn't about land grabbing,its legitimate compensation...even though its seems all related due to timing its probably 3 different things that are happening.......The land grab down in libertad is probably just that.One of our fomer mayors here in RP wound up with a couple miles of beach front in an ejido north of us...A title issued years before anything could have possibly been issued.......No not who you may think it was.......your fishcamp guys are probably victims of the compensation verdict...it involves land all over this part of Sonora........and a huge amount of land, if I heard right its 76,000 hectares or about 182,000 acres....they are looking for anything they can find.......

The marines are off shore watching for out of season crabbing etc. but with Jaguay,our camp and another shut down it sort of looks like a lot is happeningThe camps are in good locations for resorts,the environmentalists want to end most panga fishing and the narcos want privacy...a win all around...

The ejidos being grabbed by eminate domain will be part.of the reserve, your camps will definetly be privatized and might be already titled to new owners..

Our guys should be ok as Santo Tomas deeded them a spot to the south.They were using it and part of the seized land which has 3 other claims against it....what a mess....Joe looks cold in this picture!

Yes, exactly the same with the ejido land between Penasco and El Golfo. The other 2 land grabs are something different.. 1 is legitimate and 1 is probably an attempt to make stealing look legal..I would bet the Libertad ejido will probably win that one eventually...If they're paper work was done right and kept current..

They ain't doing a very good job. I was dodging crab pots (usually seen on the surface as an empty soda bottle attached to a heavy braided line, enough to really do a number on you if your wrap one around your prop) all the way from the island to the Desemboque reefs last weekend. Hey, people gotta make a living. I get that. But, it's dangerous as hell when they are all over the place and more or less completely unmarked.

It is well known overfishing in those areas has damaged already stressed wildlife. Coastline used to be very rich with oysters, and with the overfishing the species did not stand a chance. When you harvest too much

Estella this is all part of the cover for the land grab...The gorvenment has no beef with the destruction of the Mangroves,the trawlers etc. but these ejidos are parked on the prime pieces of real estate on the Northern coast and must go

Caborca -. Exaggerated With the help of the security forces the clerk of the Criminal Court of First Instance of the Judicial District of Altar was formed in the vicinity of the beaches of Santo Tomas and eviction of a group of fishermen who had installed their workplace.




It was in the early morning last Friday when most caborquenses will even notice a showy police mobilization composed of several units of the Task Force of the Police station Municipal dressed in their fatigues, hoods and assault rifles so first thing that came to mind was that the rush was because they were going to submit to one of the many teams of gangsters who have settled their actual agricultural Caborca coast.



But nothing was further from reality, they were going to evict a group of fishermen who have installed their workplace in the property called El Pescadero with that give sustenance to more than ninety families to give possession of a lady Anzueto name who is domiciled in Nogales, Sonora and boasts that along with more people owns the land known as El Papalote and is currently in litigation.



The Clerk who was in command of the operation is cumbersome showed an injunction granted by the Fourth District Judge granting a stay of any proceedings so you will not surrender to the relevant judgments of the disputes between those who report ownership and are awarded all except Mrs. Anzueto recognize the possession of fishermen who are over forty years performing their fishing activities in place using a single four-acre estate just as maneuvering area teams and coming referred to in order the clerk refused to read.
