https://unlocator.com/ Devices like Amazon TV Fire will not work in Mexico in most cases.....but
"All Internet connected devices use so-called DNS servers to navigate the Internet. Unlocator is a DNS service with a twist, as our service will hide your real location from all the major streaming services. You will see no bandwidth loss using our technology, and only the siteslisted on our supported list are affected by our service."

there is a free 7 day trial to test it...

I prefer a VPN tunnel myself. I prefer to have all international traffic to be encrypted, especially local wi-fis. Right now I prefer Private Internet Access (good price) and I can appear to be several places in the US or any where else in the world. I really don't see any speed loss due to the encryption.

Another advantage is your IP address changes often and confuses much of the targeted information collecting.

DNS Server diversion only works to allow data flow with only some location prejudiced sites. VPN's allow you to appear in many locations and all browsing is done anonymously. With PIA at $39 and StrongVPN at $55 per year, all of your local data is encrypted. Comparing the two is really an apple vs orange thing. No! is an apple vs half an apple.

I miss the old pry off bottle tops and cans that required a beer opener. Simple. One end for pop off tops and one end for cans. They came in so many interesting shapes and from virtually every beer company. You had to keep a couple in the glove box of your vehicle. You could use the gas cap on your vehicle in a pinch.
