Have you guys seen what Seadweller pulled off? Well, after months of labor he helped Phoenix radio station 98 KUPD set up a sweepstakes (sponsored by Corona Beer and AM/PM Markets), with the prize being "Win a trip to Rocky Point". Some NICE prizes, a good promotion, and it's set to kick off the first week of September.

Besides Seadweller himself (aka his company Rocky Point Boat Charters), kudos to Hammer Scuba and Fishing, Sun and Fun Dive and Activity Center, the CARNAVAL Catamaran, the Playa Inn Hotel, Al Capones Pizza and Beer Co. and Sr. Amigos for stepping up to the plate with prizes!

My understanding is this particular deal is a separate thing from the new promotional group, it all started back in March or April and Mark has been working on it all this time in conjunction with 98 KUPD.

This type of promotion is usually used to sell radio remote packages to businesses. You just have to show up at the business and fill out an entry form. It's a traffic 'driver' to get people into businesses. The locations of the businesses are announced regularly. Penasco will mainly get 'mentions' every time there is an announcements, great for name recognition, and some details of the offer 'free banana boat ride", Free Harbor Cruise' information offered to add excitement is good. And with the new laws about drugs they can offer up to 4 joints and 3 lines of Cocaine !!
