Announces Videgaray closure of checkpoints at borders

In the framework of the presentation of the programme support area border, the Secretary also announced the entry into force for three years, the decree allowing the importation of some products at lower prices. The Decree ends on December 31, 2013, he said.

They stopped me years back going to Kino and made me drive up to Sonoita and down to get a car permit. No one came out of the office for about 10 minutes !! I was pissed. Phone the head of Sonora tourism and he was pissed as well.

Can't decipher it but be nice if the stop north of Hermosillo would go away. I have passed over 100 trucks waiting!! The stop toward Mexicali is the same.

Is that the Aduana stop for vehicle registration past the Mayan Palace on the Caborca Highway? Also, the stop outside of San Luis RC was the same, 100 trucks lined up waiting to be inspected, is this a part of the change?

Yep...they are trying to ease transportation bottlenecks in Sonora.Texas is working with the border states in Mexico and the Feds to the same purpose.They want all the border biz

I do not have the sense that is the case. It's sort of a silly and primative way to try to control shipment if you think about it. Random individual stops are probabaly more effective as a deterrant. Not to mention costly and inconvenient. Inspections on the US side may ramp up.
