It was 'Fresh' last night. Nice breeze in off the ocean and the air was cool. Rained a bit in the night and nice heavy cloud cover today. Storms blowing along to the north so we might get a bit more today. Nice to have a rare break from the sun !!

Well when you come down to vacation and party you drink a lot. You cannot do that when you live here.

Sorry Roberto.....did I miss something?
Its not like I drink the entire time I'm there. I would be able to enjoy life by the sea without drinking.

The beer does taste better and the consumption does go up when staying there.
Sad that you go into some of the local watering holes and see people drinking at 9-10AM.
If you go into JJ's you will see the people who live to drink heavily everyday, again sad. I know more than a few people who are in that boat. Sadly.

Getting this thread back on track, it's looking like storms are heading to RP this afternoon, wish I was there.

Ay ay ay, Roberto - you're killing me. I was lucky enough to be in Penasco only once during a storm. I love thunder, lightning and rain in general, but in Penasco it's like a gift from above. Lightning out over the sea is the best! Todd, I'm at the bar - where are YOU? LOL

You're killing me! I picture those monsoon days on the beach . . . overcast . . . breezy . . . toes in the water . . . hardly a soul around . . . margarita in hand. Sigh . . . wish I were there.

Weather is the same today, Saturday, 11AM. Rain in the night, roads are all damp so the dust is down. Heavy cloud cover.

Lovin it in RP!
Crossed at Sonoyta this morning and the Rio was flowing with great intensity and there were many emergency vehicles at the bridge and it looked like they were trying to retrieve someone who fell in.....big weather along the border lots orf rain for the last couple of days I guess.

Sorry to hear someone may have fallen in and I hope they're alright. Remember last year with the bridge down, and the detour was unpassable because of all the water?

I remember that to, the detour bridge was rough as heck when we came but thankful it held up for the trip back.

I lucked out. I came down on September 25th and the new bridge opened about an hour before I got there. That's the good news.

The bad news is that it was the hottest five days I've ever spent there and I've been there many times in August.
Also, when we got to the beach house, the maintenance folks were there mopping up the water from three broken connections.

The good news is that it gave us an excuse to go to the old port for some beer before we unpacked. A silver cloud.
So who needs an excuse????
