I'm bored think I'm gonna try spear gunning off pelican point or off the south side by the mountain, anchor the kayak and give it a try. Anyone ever been down in the ****? How murky was it?

If you go out when its not windy its actually pretty clear. I used to snorkel over there and its actually pretty decent with all the rocks brings all the fish. I think you could definitely see fairly well when its not windy and the water isnt churned up.

every time I go spear fishing in RP I do good, fish on the grill every time I get out of the water. Here is a heads up, I don't know what Mexico would do if they find a spear GUN in you vehicle. I hear its as bad as having a real gun. I use a 3 piece sling pole spear and put the tip some where else. I want to try at estuary, but I would like someone else with a 4x4 to go.

Fish or crab or both.

The tide off the south side can get very very fast. I have monitored my drift as high as 7 mph. The water sweeps around the point.

The west side in closer should be safe. Still lots of good rock structure.

Man I couldn't see **** on the bottom at Tucson beach just tiny little fish, lost my snorkel too
Dont feel bad, last time I went the waves were very bad when I was coming in with my mask on top of my head. Got hit with a big rogue wave and donated my S**t to the sea of
Cortez.

we are going next saturday for a week, my son ordered his spear from amazon. I hope there are a few calm beach days!

Try Pinto Point. Rocky coastline with sidewalk into the ocean. Lots of small fish and some larger. Pretty good visibility. Depth up to 30 feet.

I had to take my buddy back to phoenix today, his first time in penasco and he didn't wear sunscreen out on the ocean, he was a lobster with swollen feet last night so I took him back over the border, poor guy has to get on an aircraft for a wedding sunday morning, reminds me of the first episode of The Hangover.

A Hawaiian sling works very good along the rocks and escarpment at Cholla.
Very true, you have two tip choices, rock point which will out stand (last) if you pin the fish against the rocks or the 3 prong which I use. The 3 prong is the sh*t for me good for open water and around rocks if you take the right shot and go in sand instead of rock. No matter take a hand file with you and resharpen the tips no big deal.
