Las Vegas to Preto Penasco to Hermosilo Air service begins March 6 2013. Or did it

It's like the obsessive compulsive person that is fixing his car and he needs a special wrench but his tool cabinet is so messy he deviates from fixing the car and spends the rest of the day cleaning out and reorganizing the tool cabinet. One thing at a time apparently doesn't exist in RP. I thought the marina was supposed to start in SPRING 13, here we are 3/15 and it doesn't appear anything has been started. This whole commercial flight program seems like a front for people from Hermosillo to lose their mind in Vegas for the weekend. Vegas to Puerto Penasco to Hermosillo, might as well just be VEGAS TO HERMOSILLO. Businesses in RP are donating money to the OVC but do you think they are going to be the ones that benefit?

Joe,this was such a big deal and I am really hoping it isn't BS. We are going to focus on Alaskans coming down in the winter as renters and lot buyers in Santo Tomas.A flight from Las Vegas direct would be awesome.It would dovetail with Alaska Air flights from Seattle.What isn't awesome is me repeating booster crap and being called unreliable.

I understand that the contracts have been signed and the flights will start on June 15th. They will be on Thursdays and Sundays from Las Vegas to Puerto Penasco to Hermosillo and back again. I also understand that the prices have been brought down a bit to make them reasonable. (remember that at least $100 of the price are taxes and government fees from both sides of the border). I believe that the information is true and it was from one of "the" sources, but I haven't seen anything official yet. This is the best idea for an airline hub flight here yet. Las Vegas is convenient from all over the world, and many people from Hermosillo would love a flight to Las Vegas. This one just might work.

Jim, any idea on the price? The deal killer is a fare from Seattle to Puerto Vallarta only costs $540 We might have to rethink this as who in his right mind would go to our little corner of the sea of cortez if he or she could get 1000 miles south for less.
