And he was happy to do it.All this dog hater did was use a term used in mexico to describe a tower " Pichonera" which means pigeon coop, and he became a hero to some for it.
. Read the first article..interesting....what is Cedo saying? As I remember they stopped the pier in 2009 because of reef damage issues. Not saying it is not the way to go but this is not a for sure winnerHey ever been down here during the week, deader than hell, every town grows and has to have some type of commercial type Business.
Yeah, I guess if it's going to happen one way or the other, we might as well figure out how to make some money from it, right? Maybe I'll go the tried and true route: "Your Name on a Grain of Rice".I hope to be selling white castle toilet paper dispensers around the area!
It's not fun for people like us, but you can't blame the locals for wanting to make $$$. I feel very conflicted over this whole thing, although the route looks fantastic. I'm not a cruise fan in the least - went once, never wanted to go again, but I'd love a Sea of Cortez cruise with the stops it looks like they're going to make. Not a fan of this project, The places I have been that have cruise ships are brutal with, the locals being in your face with whatever they are hustling. That's relaxing.
Santo Tomas is getting ready to offer discounted lots to Old School Cholla Bay residents that want to move to a pristine beach area. The people in CHOLLA BAY are pissed!
Brokenwave, since Guaymus is set up to fuel big boats, I understand the cruise ships will take on fuel there. Sorry, I posted under the wrong message.Dry Heat, It is Pic #12 from the new photos of the Home Port: Puerto Penasco Home Port | Facebook
Puerto Penasco Home Port post, that was posted by Jim R. If that is going to happen to our area and I hope it is a mistake, better sell before everything becomes worth a whole lot less and time to look at some other places in Mexico to vacation. Bottom line is the RP we all love will become a money well for those who own the well if that does happen.
I hope they do fuel up in Guaymas. The drawings of the port show 3 giant fuel storage tanks -looks really ugly.Brokenwave, since Guaymus is set up to fuel big boats, I understand the cruise ships will take on fuel there. Sorry, I posted under the wrong message.
I heard Guaymus the other day, sometimes where there's smoke there's fire....but not always.I hope they do fuel up in Guaymas. The drawings of the port show 3 giant fuel storage tanks -looks really ugly.
Full price, of course. I'm excited about the home port. But besides the environmental concerns, there are archaeological sites dating back at least 5000 years with invaluable intact buried deposits spread across the route of the the proposed canal. No reason to halt the project, but the data on the peninsula's firsties should be recovered in advance. Yeah, I have an archaeological firm that could do it, so full disclosure there. Just want to see INHA or any other archaeologists taking care of that irreplaceable human record in advance.Yeah, I guess if it's going to happen one way or the other, we might as well figure out how to make some money from it, right? people in other parts of Sonora that are seeing their taxes go up and the money used for questionable projects like this one or flat out graft also hate it is called"home port".I heard Guaymus the other day, sometimes where there's smoke there's fire....but not always.
Why?The people in CHOLLA BAY are pissed!
