Question about Lobos road

During the last couple of years I have ridden to Lobos via the beach from El Desemboque. In one of the recent posts on this site someone mentioned a coastal road that goes to Lobos. I can't find a map that shows this road. Can someone give me some info or details on this road?

According to the news reports its there, but I can't find any news on official opening date. This means it probably is not done yet. They had problems with Seri indian people because road goes trough their land

Un nuevo atractivo carretero de bellos paisajes costeros ha abierto nuevos horizontes que conectan a Puerto Peñasco de Sur a Norte, desde Puerto Libertad-Puerto Lobos y el Desemboque.
Esta nueva rúa turística costera a punto de ser inaugurada, presenta un avance significativo en su construcción, por lo que ya habitantes de este municipio y propios turistas aminoran distancias entre la ciudad de Hermosillo y Puerto Peñasco en hora y media de camino.
El paisaje sin igual, combinación mar-desierto, hacen un panorama atractivo para quienes transitan, cerros de tierra rojiza, piedra volcánica, ocotillo y extensos choyales acompañan a turistas en su viaje.
Más de 340 kilómetros de asfalto recorren el gran desierto de altar, lugares imaginables de infraestructura vial para los habitantes de esta región, que hoy en día dan esperanza a la creación de una nueva economía pasajera, diferente actividad a la que explotan desde hace décadas, la pesca.
Aun sin ser inaugurada esta rúa turística de mar y desierto con vista al Mar de Cortés disminuye la distancia Hermosillo-Peñasco, haciendo un tiempo aproximado de tres horas y media, recortando poco mas de hora y media de camino entre estas dos ciudades sonorenses.

Just head South from the Mayan and you will hit the cut off for the coastal highway at the overpass that gives you the choice of Caborca or Desemboque (maybe 40 miles) if you start going over the overpass you are going the wrong way...go under and it heads you toward the Santo Tomas turn off...it's signed but confusing)anyway the coastal highway goes South of Puerto Libertad.

So there is a paved road to Lobos? Can I drive all the way to Libertad now? If the new road goes through Desemboque then that village must be growing. Although probably good for the locals I love how undeveloped El Desemboque is/was.

The road go's very close to both Desemboque and Puerto Lobos but not through, and yes basically right into Libertade.
