Every pharmacy we checked in RP asked for a prescription. There was a place on the Malecon that had a sign advertising Amoxicillin & Albuterol, but when we went in....they were sold out. Am I missing something....or do you just need to know where to go?

The law in Mexico recently changed and now requires you to have a valid prescription when buying antibiotics. Some places may ignore this for their gringo customers. Doctors visits can be had for just a few dollars in order to obtain the prescription.

Somas and Anti-biotics are available in RP just have to know where to look. Mexico Joe is correct.

Mexico Joe, Farmacia Discuenta(? spelling might be off) 5-6 locations (ad in RP Times) had Z-Pack for $8 last trip down.
I used to shop at Glorias Farmacia next to Bancomer on Ben Juarez who had decent prices but found Farm. Discuenta to be 40-60% less.
