I was planning that but the mechanic advised me to re-chip the computer to boost the horsepower for that type of application so I dont think I will do it.....

So where is this list of artists??? I have yet to see a major festival launch their advertising campaign without an announcement of their artist lineup. There has to be a draw in order to attract customers. Even looking at their list of proposed acts, artists who normally play the state fair or casino circuit will not draw people to a foreign country. When you start sending out press releases that boast about a $50 million dollar impact to the local economy it would be wise to have an artist lineup that backs up the statement.

I am all for promoting tourism in Rocky Point and a well-planned event is more than welcome. We have had enough bad press from the real estate debacle and a drug war. There is enough negativity from events such as Penasco Palooza that has moved from March 17 to October 13 to November 10, we don't need more. I hope the promoters are able to pull this off. It would have been advisable for them to enlist AEG or Live Nation which control 90% of the concert tour industry. RP has seen its share of glossy sales brochures and press releases with promises of what is to come...let's hope this is not another to add to the pile.

Rosy this is the part that got my attention.It sounded like the person with the same name as the Boomerfest promoter was a well known effective scammer.

Let’s go back to 2002. Jerry came to Panama to retire. Jerry met Henry Altman through Don Winner. Henry Altman was advertising on Don Winners’ web site. Henry wanted Jerry to invest in a restaurant on the causeway called the PANAMA GRILL. Don was advertising it on his web site, the normal scam technique. Jerry thought it to be a good idea and wanted to invest in a restaurant. So, Jerry invested $116,000 into the venture. Don was and still is benefiting from these scammers by the advertising revenues and in most cases kickbacks from the land deals or promoters, i.e. Eddie Kahn Tax evasions scam, Tom McMurrain San Cristobol Scam.

Jerry, as a former US Department of Justice and former Texas Constable Advisor, wanted to make sure that no other unfortunate American would fall for the same tricks. Here's a YouTube to Verify what Jerry does:

Jerry Started RETIRE2PANAMA to bring to light the crooks and how they worked in Panama so that others would not loose, in some cases their life savings. Jerry found Don Winner to be one of the biggest scammers of them all. So, Jerry pointed it out on his web site for everyone to see. DON’T READ THE PANAMA-GUIDE unless you want to get scammed by the advertisers selling land deals or too good to be true investments. (Check his web site out it is full of these deals). The only thing that he may have purchased the rights to or licensed is the subdomain mexco.escapeartist.com not the top level domain escapeartist.com and the subdomain drives very little if any traffic at all to the main domain, see below. So the spin was...to look like the main domain is the one that was licensed or purchased. The top level domain mexicoescapeartist dot com is available to be registered.

Henry used the "panama-guide" web side to get leads. He saw this as a successful way and probably is the reason he went on to purchase escape artists.

The Panamanian land deals are scary (pretty much dreams to good to be true) As they say, you can tell allot by the company they keep. Panama-guide first tag (hidden) is money laundering. Google is a relational data base and looks what you have been searching and tries to lead you there. They know easy come easy go, and if you are trying to hide $, you like to walk outside the rules.

You know what is strange, is after searching somehow I was brought to this; out of the blue, I said hey, I have seen this before.

I ran each of the names of the proposed artists through the database at Pollstar.com. Not looking good, Santana is booked at the House of Blues during this timeframe and a healthy portion of the other artists are booked on cruise ships or casinos.
