Re Speeding

We came home on May 12th and as I made the turn into Sonoyta (sp)?, started to slow down to 40 kph. I guess I was not fast enough to slow down enough. I have a 40' motor home and cannot make those turns while speeding so I was going slow to begin with. The sneaky cop pulled us over and showed his the radar gun at 62 kph. I could not have been more than a couple of hundred feet passed the sign. He got us for a "lesser" ticket at $50.00. He told us to follow him to the station. I asked if we could pay him right there, and he said "no receipt"? I said we did not need one and my wife talked him down to $40.00. $40.00 for going 35 in a 25. I hope he enjoys his cerveza.

last time I went to the station to pay a ticket it was $20 or $25 (took about 10 minutes in the station)

You need to be doing 40 before you hit the sign and because it goes down hill don't trust cruise control

I just laugh when idiots blow around me on that stretch. And as much as we've talked about the 'Sonoyta Revenue Enhancement Project' on this site, I'm surprised anyone still gets caught for this. I **always** slow to 40 klicks well before the sign. Once you crest that little rise just after the sign, too late... he's gotcha.

Wonder what kind of money he'll put in his pocket this Memorial Day weekend?
