Grouper Tournament This Year?

Any word on the dates? In the past, it always seemed to be over Mothers' Day weekend and I'd miss it. I'd *really* like to participate this year!

I think it's going to be over Memorial day weekend on Saturday & Sunday, May 26th and 27th... because I was talking with Adolfo (About Time) and he asked if I would move the Bird Island trip to Friday May 25th or Monday May 28th on Memorial weekend or maybe even another weekend all together because of the Tournament...

Y'all otta take a hiatus from the Grouper hunt and go on a project to improve the habitat. Maybe refloat the Fiesta Cruiser and build Rob's reef. Or you could go harris the long liners, that would be fun.

When I was about 13 or 14 my buddy and I used to take the kayak out in the middle of Cholla Bay and snorkel the nets looking for fish to CUT FREE, lol we thought we were doing the world justice back then...

Speaking of grouper, we had one hooked last Monday out at La Siete, but he got lucky. We did catch lots of nice Cabrilla and cochi's. La Siete is about 15 minutes out from the marina.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

OK... I just spoke with my amigo Adolfo from the About Time... there will be a meeting tomorrow to discuss changing the date of the Grouper Tournament possibly to the month of June... I will find out the outcome of the meeting and update this post tomorrow... Thank You...

Yeah, I just heard the same news tonight... talking about early-mid June now.
