Any Tips for a new owner/monthly visitor?

Wanting to get the inside scoop on PP ... good places to eat, workers to hire for odd jobs, places to see, events to attend, good causes to participate in, etc... I've spent a lot of time reading this forum and have seen many personality conflicts, or perceived ones, but don't want to be mired in the fray of that... just want to enjoy my time in PP and hopefully meet some great locals/regulars that have their heart and soul anchored in all that I love about Puerto Peñasco! It may seem I am too base for many but when I go to PP its my recharge time and until I can retire full-time there I want to make the most of my trips and impact my home away from home the best way I can! :) Hopefully, that makes sense ... it does to me in my own twisted view of personal paradise! :p

One of my first questions is ... since I will be going down to PP at least monthly and a new condo owner I want to purchase a yearly auto insurance policy and home owners insurance, so far I am thinking ProAlliance, but are there any other suggestions or recommendations?

ProAlliance would love to have your business. If there's any information we can provide, please let me know. I employ people who are bilingual and very focused on offering the best service possible. As for your other question about restaurants, events and services, come by the Tourism & Visitor Assistance Office (TVA). We have a lot of brochures and flyers for many of the local businesses and we keep information and posters for most of the upcoming events. We try to talk about coming events on the Rocky Point Ramblings radio show, too. Hope you've had a chance to listen. We're frequently asked to recommend a cleaning lady, handyman or mechanic, etc. The referral coming from us gives you some leverage with regard to price and quality of service. I think it's great that you're enjoying your paradise.

Don't listen to him JGat. This is one big happy family and nobody on here would say stuff like that. A word of warning however. If you want to risk
the prime insult of being a Fox watcher, be very careful of what you say. The Fox Hounds will jump on you like the you're only rabbit in the meadow.

For cars, If you have a costco membership, or access to one, https://www.bonitawest.com/Costco/frm_Home.asp
I pay $205 a year for full coverage on a 2009 Altima SE, for a Sonora only policy, and a bit less for a 2008 Jeep Compass.
You don't get a local representive like ProAliance, but it might save you money. Happy hunting

If you've been following the forum you are probably pretty well informed, if you can remember what you read !! Just post away when you have a question. Just be aware that some here, not naming any names but it starts with G and ends with V, has a tendancy to get involved with serious criminal stuff so beware.

Just a dawgone minute here Captain Merlot.

We have new information that might tend to reduce my sentence to time served and an ankle cuff. It seems there might be
someone here who has a shadier past the moi.

Kenny said, "If you knew Roberto and some of his background like I do, you'd find that statement laughable."

Now, what is going on here. Is the pot really the same color or darker than the kettle. (Please notice how well I PC'd that)

Anyway TGat, enjoy the forum and more importantly the time you have in Rocky Point. I certainly have.

Also, I use Rosy too, but she doesn't know about my history.

We've been going down for 35 years and we discover new places all the time. Our new favorite is Capone's Restaurant. We were recently in RP and ate there four times. They have a good variety of all kinds of food and the staff is a lot of fun. Eat inside, eat outside, eat at the bar. And, we couldn't go down there without eating breakfast at Lolita's at least three times, very good prices at both places. Don't look at Capone's menu on line - it's totally different when you get there.
