I've seen families with young children walk out of business' here in Rocky Point that would have one of the local radio stations on, and the station would be playing rap and every other word begins with an "F" and ends with a "CK" and it's not "Firetruck"...

Some of the music they play on the local station 106.1 is pure junk and filth. I know that Rosie and I have discussed it and that she has brought it to their attention. It clears up for a bit then its back to the same old crappy programming.
I am not tolerant of it at all and it bothers me to an extreme (i am not speaking for Rosie here)
There is little I can do as I dont have any programming rights at the station. All the content is loaded from their Mexico City guys.
I will keep complaining though.
Listen in on Saturdays though and I promise not to cuss (I am not speaking for Rosie here - lol) Noon to 2:00 every Saturday a show the whole fam damily can listen to.

I complain every chance I get, but it hasn't done much good. As Russ points out, the programming comes from Mexico City without any thought to content in English. I'm glad you like our show, but remember how we struggled in the beginning because all the songs we had to choose from in the system were crappy? It took awhile, but now we can at least get Chari dancing. I know it isn't that easy to call the station and complain, but what about an email campaign? Or a thread here that I can print out and show them?

I'm upping the amount to $300 if we can reach our goal (latest count 7,433) and have more LIKES than the page for Fox 10's morning newscaster Rick D'amico by Thursday March 15th 12 noon Rocky Point Time...
At that time if the goal is not reached I will automatically donate the original $200. to "Esperanza Para Los Ninos"

Several of us did go on his FB page yesterday...posted (very civil)...and he has now blocked us from posting any more...and even deleted some of the posts (but not all).
