Again, read in Numero Uno that Donald Trump, Jr. is still showing interest in investing here. Done deal or just more talk? Anyone in the actual know?

I don't see the Donald, or his son, being serious investors. They seem to like the flash and glory ( not to mention coiffure ). from what I've read the Donald is like the guys who make big money telling other people how to get rich. Guess is they are looking for someone to pay them to put the Trump name on some venture, not risk their own capital which in reality I think they simply don't have) .

Quote from the Donald: "There was a lot riding on that particular race in Nevada and it was interesting, because the numbers were much, much greater than you thought," Trump told "Fox and Friends." "And a lot of people are giving me credit for that. And I will accept that credit. Always accept credit."

http://you-are-fired-donald.blogspot.com/ He isn't in the real Estate biz. he's in the Branding biz.
Great website, Jerry! Everything in one spot. Everyone should visit it.

Here's an article from 2009 or so about the mess with the Trump Baja deal, a condo tower he branded near Rosarito Beach. Once it went kaput he took his name off it, sued the developers and swore to God that he never led anyone to believe he had any kind of equity in it. He's not only a gas bag, he's a worm and a congenital liar.

What that article doesn't mention is how awful the location of that project actually was: Near a sewage plant, on a bluff that is prone to erosion and in an active earthquake zone where in years past many homes/buildings have ended up in pieces on the beach below.

Neither he nor his kids have any care for the environment, either. My favorite Trumpism of late is the debacle of his monster development in Scotland, where he IS using his own money. Now that he's destroyed people's lives, wreaked havoc in an environmentally sensitive area and in general made a horse's ass of himself, he's decided he can't go forward with it until the economy improves. And he's trying to get out from under his commitment by saying that if Scotland goes forward with a wind farm offshore it'll just ruin his potential investors' view and he'll pull the plug on the whole thing.

Check out the documentary "You've Been Trumped" if you want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Full disclosure: Yes, I have strong opinions about the Trumps, and none of them are good. :hairout:
