On the trip home... On Sunday, Oct. 30 while returning home to So Cal on I-10 from the Peoria, AZ event, Rip Williams and the Jory Racing Team hauler were stopped at the US. Border Patrol special checkpoint on the Arizona side before the Colorado River. The agents had their German Shepherd go though the hauler looking for illegals or drugs.
Is this the kind of freedom we fight for?

Race car drivers and pit crew can't be bad guys? Little old ladies can't be bad guys? American born citizens can't be bad guys? I don't quite get your logic, Mr. Kenny. Splain yourself, por favor.

No problem.. It's a border between Cali and AZ and more than a 100 miles from the Mexican border, that is if you can fly like a crow, farther if you can't. I'd reported after my trip over for the Oval Nationals on Thursday the 3rd of this month that they had a huge contingent of border agents ( 20+ cars and Vans, dogs) on a border between two states, not countries. I also told of how the border agents had held some citizens for hours over a open container of alcohol. Now if you think that the border patrols big presence and the random checking of vehicles and the holding of citizens for state offenses is just part of crossing between states, I guess it's not a problem for you. Myself, I've been making that crossing for well over 50 years, and I think it is!

Boy, I did miss a major part of that! No, that is not ok with me. Thanks for the info.
I liked your post about not being put in a box, and I feel the same way... Though I'm a liberal about many things, I have some conservative stuff going on as well. Take when my kids were growing up for instance..LOL
