Don't you just hate getting phone calls from loved ones that start, " I'm sitting in the ER..."
Jerry hurt himself today. A very heavy RV wrought iron gate fell on his shoulder. He has "profound contusions" on his shoulder and arm but nothing torn, dislocated, sprained or broken. They gave him painkillers and sent him home. He says his whole shoulder and upper arm are black! We're gonna have fun moving now! I am so grateful that it wasn't worse! He's a tough dude!
But, the good thing. I arrived at my caseload family's house (I'm a social worker for disabled children) this evening for my quarterly home visit and they were eating. They offered me supper and of course, as you can tell by looking at me, I happily accepted. It was scrumptious! Nopales, frijoles, cebolla, cilantro, tomates and queso fresco on chips!!!!! Nopales are prickly pear and queso fresco is fresh Mexican cheese. I don't think I have ever eaten cactus before. It was delish!!!!!!
