Parmesan and/or Chddar cheese

Don't they carry that at Santa Fe or Super Ley? Those have been our stores of choice, but you'd think the Aurrera Bodega (Sp?) would carry it.

OR.....are you talking about the actual cheese, as in not grated?

I'd bet that Roberto knows :)

Lovin it in RP!
I think that you will have a chance finding it at Las Palmas which is on Constitucion West of Ley. If not then try CS Restaurant supply on Josepha Dominguez she carries a lot of things like that plus if you have never been there you are in for a treat as Michelle is sweet and very helpful.

Thank you for the suggestions - what are the directions for CS Restaurant supply on Josepha Dominguez? I have trouble finding or seeing street signs.

From Benito Juarez (the main street and Highway to the US) turn onto Josepha D as if heading towards Las Conchas. It will be on your right hand side in a very large warehouse type building with the word Construama but then also smaller signs that say CS. Plus they have a little restaurant on the property called CS Bistro where you can try the different foods they bring in. It is probably a mile down on the right once you get onto Josepha D.

I'm sorry to be such a pest but I couldn't find Josepha Dominguez on the map - where is it in relation to Benito Juarez and Fremont? Or coming from Sandy Beach? Thank you.

I will explain it as if you were coming into Penasco from the States. The main highway from Lukeville to Penasco turn left at the very first traffic signal you come to as you are entering town. That is Josepha Dominguez.

That same intersection if you were to turn right you would wind up at Sandy Beach by way of the desert round about that road is Samuel Ocaña on one side of the train tracks, and Gus Brown Blvd once you cross the tracks on Sandy Beach side

Bodega Aurrera had the dried canned Parmesan cheese. Never seen cheddar anywhere.

Mexicans sure love their queso blanco

Santa Fe has always had Parmesan when I shop. All the way to the back of the store then all the way across the store to the right, open refrigerated case with lunch meat and cheese, in front of the Deli counter. Grated Parmesan is on the top in shaker containers, both Kraft and a Mexican brand.

We found it without a problem - although further down then a mile. Met Michelle and Carlos and they were very helpful. Great place to find cheese - although in large amounts - I now have enough fresh Parmesan for the rest of my life :) - managed to pick up a few more things like bagels, mega cream cheese, etc. Will be going back - they were just unloading a truck so a lot of things not available yet. They also take credit cards and since I never have cash on hand that was a good thing.
