Coming back yesterday we had had a 55-minute wait at the border. About 20 minutes into it, a Porsche Audi with Az plates races past the cars behind us and pulls up alongside us. The two middle-aged occupants are smiling sweetly and indicating they'd like to cut in. Our driver angrily motions that they need to get to the back of the line like everyone else. They quickly speed forward in the oncoming lane and try again farther up. Eventually someone lets them in, and I'm asking "where's a carjacking crew when you need one?"
I'm not embellishing. It really was a Porsche.
What can be done about these people? Sitting in line with too much time to think, I consider handing $10 to the surliest-looking window washer in the area and promising another $10 when I see the Porsche off the road with two punctured sidewalls. Or maybe walking ahead and just doing the job myself. Or borrowing a cell phone from a tortilla seller and phoning in a tip to US Customs that the white Porsche is carrying fentanyl.
Can anyone think of a way to deal with these entitled #$(*@&s that wouldn't get me in too much trouble on either side of the border? I realize they only cost me one more car to wait behind, but it just seems wrong that arrogant, self-centered people should get away with this just because one driver up ahead is too soft-headed to tell them to shove it. Or is it just me, and do I need to be in some anger management group?
