Short trip; 24 march to 26 march. We used headout to rockypoint shuttle; they were great, on time, very professional.

Stayed at Sonoran Spa and almost had the place to ourselves. Pools, Jacuzzi, bar, awesome weather, what more could anyone want.

Played golf at Las Palomas. Again, had a great time, the course was in great shape. Coming from Phoenix, I'd say it's in the same condition as many Phoenix courses; very green for the desert. We saw maybe 1 or 2 other golfers on the entire 18 hole course, we had the course to ourselves.

Went to Pollo Lucas and La Cuerva (spelling?) and a few other small bars. All were great; Pollo Lucas was prob. our favorite.

In general, we had a great time and are coming down again. We will continue to use the shuttle, it was a great service.

We exercised common sense, stayed off poorly lite streets at night, didn't attempt to buy narcotics and felt 100% safe the entire time.

Be back soon!

Hey Bud, LOL is the flag stick on like number 5 or 6 still a yellow dowel rod? I havent been able to play golf in almost a year now so I havent played LP in over a year as well but for the longest time they were missing a flag stick and were using like a yellow broom still with the flag on top of course. It looks normal when Im hitting my gap wedge from 120 but when you get up there you're like wtf haha. It was like that for at least 2 years. I was going to buy them one and give it to them so they could be a real golf course again. Did you like the course layout? Had you played it before? The course really gets into its best shape this time of the year. The growing season is a little different in RP because they dont overseed. The growing season starts about now in March and then in July I wold say the course is in 100% primo shape. Glad you had fun, I think golf could be something that helps RP get out of the slumps, its such a huge business! Baby boomers baby YEA!

haha, no it's a piece of PVC with a flag taped on top!

Guess I should have mentioned, if a golfer wants a course comparable to the PHX country club they'll be disappointed with LP. I'm not that good, nor high class, so the LP golf course, without the crowd of people suits me just fine!

Are you a member at the Phoenix Country Club? The LP course is a championship golf course. Its not going to compare with an exact course especially the likes of PHX CC but it still is a championship golf course worth the money. Thats pretty funny though, yea PVC hahahahaha wow! I honestly wonder how much a flag stick could possibly be? $100? LOL too funny, thanks for the reply.

100 bucks is a weeks pay for a lot of mexicans and the owners and keepers, as you say, keep the course up pretty nice. it would be a great gesture for someone like yourself to donate one.

Wait wait wait wait, your trying to tell me that the LP GOLF RESORT is in need of a $100 donation from me to buy a new flag stick? Thats a joke right?

Your the one who made the jokes. Something tells me you just don't understand economics and the hard times everyone is going through right now. Mexico is suffering from these economic shortfalls and yes, even LP Golf Resort.
