We had a 55 Nash Rambler from the time I was born until I was 5. I remember the tuck and roll. I used to stand up in the backseat because it was too tall for me to see out the windows... I also used to lay in the back window. Those days are sure gone now......

We also had a 2 door 69 Chrysler Newport all through my high school years. She could sure fly! 440, V-8, Holley 4 barrel carb.... I used to open the headers and take her to the Beeline and run her in the "Run what ya brung" races on Friday night. That was sure fun......I beat a few people, too. They were sure surprised! LOL! Oh, the memories....

Thank you!

I sat and day dreamed after watching the video. I drove some of those cars, pleasure not racing.
Did the drivein thing w/the trunk packed. Then, in new York, you payed a single admission for a car full.
In warmer weather we would put chairs and blankets on the hood of the car and watch the show.

Wow, my grandkids do not know what they are missing.

Thanks for the video. I am passing it on to others to enjoy.

My first car was a blue Willy's Jeepster. It was really difficulty to get the top up so one time when the monsoon hit my cousin and I were driving with water sloushing around our feet. Plus my sister's goat loved riding in that car and she wouldn't get out so had lots of tours around Phoenix. And gas was 25 cents a gallon and you could drive up and ask for a dollars worth.

Jeeping naked isn't what you think it is. It's Jeeping with the top, doors and windows off. What's worse than rain is the hail! Oh Oweeeeeee........
