Does anyone have updated information on the opening of the Bodega Aurrera? I heard a March 4th opening but haven't come across anything official. And haven't driven by recently. I presume their grand opening will still be sometime in April?:woo:

I think they are in the process of stocking shelves and training employees. Parking lot has vehicles in it and there are trucks coming and going at the loading dock in back. I don't think it will be April, they are too close to opening. Yeah, I can't wait either. I just hope they stock like Wal Mart and not Numeros !!

They have a van driving around town towing a mini boxing ring on a trailer. The side of the van says March 4. Don't really know what the boxing ring is all about.

Does anyone know if they take credit cards? I love Capital One - they don't charge me an exchange fee :)

Well, it is open. Just toured the store. Huge and crowded. Wide array of goods from appliances, clothes, food, bakery, farmacia, tires, some automotive stuff. Selection similar to other stores here in terms of brand, etc., prices looked pretty good. Had hoped for some different brands.

Roberto - Did they have any frozen stuff, i.e. Stoffers. I do get tired of cooking and miss popping something in the oven ): The other thing I'd like are good old CLEAN eggs.

No, not at this juncture anyway. I had hoped for the same. It seems to me that there are significant trade restrictions on importation of lots of goods since the variety is almost always the same. Of course COSTCO was much better in Hermosillo.

Well....has anyone been in the store to see what kind of "stuff" they're carrying?? I'll be down later this weekend and hopefully will be able to check out the store.

I was there yesterday, they have a little of everything including car batterys, bakery, clothing just like a super walmart here only a little smaller. Paid in american
dollars. Friday the store was to crowded for me to get in the parking lot, so I bought my son some flip flops on Rodeo Drive for $10 I knew I was paying too much
but I needed them. When we were at Walmart yesterday I saw better flip flops for $1.89. Nice, New, Clean I will be back when it is not so crowded. Military were
posted outside the doors with machine guns and walking inside the store. Kind of creepy.
