I misinterpreted your statement Robert, "Since most stern drive inboards are converted car engines,"; my fault.
My intent was to warn the uninformed that even though automotive parts will bolt up to boat engines; it shouldn't be done unless one knows what they're doing. A friend attempted that with a v-6 heads (this guy had fished for years and did most of his own outdrive repair, but he found these rebuilt auto v-6 heads cheaper), but didn't notice the cooling jacket location difference in the heads.
I've seen many automotive parts bolted on boat engines. Sure it can be done, but as you probably know, the average Joe doesn't give it a second thought. Hey, its cheaper at Autozone right?

You can have some fun with a photo like that. I used to have one, wallet size, of one of the most homely women ever. When at a bar chatting with a stranger I'd start to talk very sincerely about my girlfriend and how much I loved her, How I could not wait to get married. How nice she was to me. How hard it was to be apart as she lived in another state. etc. etc. A several minute build up. Then I'd pop the question "Do you want to see a photo of her?" Of course no one refused at that point. The fun part was watching the expression on the guys face when you show the photo. Sometimes I'd continue the story earnestly but most of the time I'd laugh after a minute or so.
