Not quite done from the Ejido Alvaro Obregon (6 miles inland from Santo Tomas) South but passable except for a few spots where you go on a little dirt.
The road north from the Ejido isn't finished to the big curve so i don't think this will help you that much yet. For us it is very good because it cuts time off the Caborca trip and Desemboque.

Just got back from Lobos. Squid fishing pretty much over. Caught a couple of pargo. Ate Quilta's stuffed clams, which are awesome. Actually some americans down .3 different groups of them. Put about 120 miles on the quads. We took the road to Liebertad and it is done all the way there. It was 80 degrees on Saturday. Leigh

What is in Libertad these days....I bet the Liberty Cove Formula 1 track is behind schedule!

there isn't a whole lot there. Picked up some shrimp and corona barrillita (sp). one of my favoite beers. The pemex was out of diesel.didn't see much of anything else. Leigh

One thing I did forget to mention . The drive is awesome,very beautiful with many pullouts for taking a look at the sceenery. I think they made the pullouts so you can land a plane there, they are huge. Leigh

How much farther does the road go past Libertad.....cool there is a Pemex there...
those pullouts look like a good place to unload atv's and go exploring...

We didn't go any further do to lack of diesel fuel at the pemex. You could probably park 40 or 50 trucks and Quad trailers in one of the pullouts. Very cool drive Leigh
