There's an appliance store just north of Benito Juarez (main drag thru town) on Constitution ....heading towards Super Ley.....on left side, just past the bus station....I'm heading there to check out a replacement frig.
Does anyone know if the new Walmart (Bodega) will be carrying appliances?
You can also buy appliances at Koppel (spelling??) across from Super Ley...but everything I've checked out there is very expensive!

Garyd....stopped off at the appliance store....they had several in stock.....ranging from about 6500 pesos to about 12000 pesos(at least the ones I saw). They may have more available. I heard from several people that the place is the cheapest in town. They can deliver the same day. They do take plastic....I think the exchange is around 12 peso to the dollar. Didn't find a frig that will fit without be doing some "cutting"....but have to see if that will cause some structural problems.
I also found a repair guy (stopped over at Rosie's Insurance place....where I got his card). I'll let everyone know how that works out, and if I can recommend him to the Forum.

He was fast.....and reasonable....sounded like he knew what he was talking about....we'll see if the frig problem is fixed (it was an intermittent.....don't you just love those???). I posted another thread for contact info....
