Hope this does not migrate to Penasco

I hope the police can keep the streets safe. I think it may have something to do with the MS13 gang.

My wife sent me this link last week, mainly because it happened right in front of her parents house in Navojoa. Very humiliating to the local police... She told me it was just a local hoodlum high on drugs- we'll see I guess...

no machettes...did not know this...!Article 140. Prohibited weapons, including:

I. Daggers, cutlasses, knives, machetes, razors, sharp or sharp instruments, as well as weapons concealed or concealed in clubs or other objects;

II. Pits, mittens, jacks, chacos, slings, straps with bullets, hidden weights and the like;

III. Bombs, explosive or asphyxiating or toxic gas and similar devices; Y

IV. Those that by their characteristics, conformation or dimensions, involve a risk due to their harmful potentialities and those that other laws or the Executive designates as such.

Regarding the penalty for carrying these prohibited weapons, the Penal Code for the State of Sonora establishes in Article 141 the corresponding sanctions:

A stop search of my truck in Penasco some 15 years back came up with 4 or 5 Chinese throwing knives, and three pocket knives. One knife was a Swiss Army tool with my name inscribed on it . Got taken to the judge and paid a $40 fine. NO jail time . Was explained to me later by a neighbor who was in the marienes that ANYTHIG that can be construed as being used as a weapon is illegal. I had a sawed off pool cue in my truck and he said to ditch it. If you have fishing equipment you can have a skinning filleting knife. Just keep it with the pole and stuff. A can of fast discharge wasp and hornet spray is legal. Mosquitoes are dangerous.

I used to do work in Hermisillo with Ford and their suppliers. We used to drive from Green Valley to Mazatland about 3 times a year. 10 yrs ago we bought at RP and stopped going to the other places I would like to go back to Mazatlán but do not want to fly. I guess I need to go back on their chat room and see where people who drive are now staying.

I carry a 24 in wrecking bar in my truck all the time. The hook on one end makes a great handle and 24 in of heavy steel to swing. Many years back I had a flat on the 17 freeway where is meets the 10. Not there very long and a car stopped about 150 feert behind me and 3 guys stepped out. I knew they meant no good so I could not win any battle with them so I did the only thing I thought might work. I took the wrecking bar in hand and headed for them. Within just a few moments the got back in their car and drove off. Would not work today, they would shoot you.
