My Mirador to Sandy Beach Video!

Great video Hill Bear,

Enjoy it while you can, as the days of driving on or near the beaches around RP is coming to an end much sooner than later.

Typically, the "OWNERS" of beach front property convince themselves that every bit of beach even into the water belongs to them. You will not only see fences running down the beach extending to the waterline, but roped and moored floats extending as far as possible into the sea with the friendly reminder "propiedad privado" stenciled on them.

Even access to the beach has become out of control. They make sure that no one can even park near "their" beach. Los Conchas being a perfect example.

Just sayin,

JJ

I am going to be adding Annotations to the video. Once we got down there they had closed all the entrances but the one and dug trenches in front of them since April!
It's total bullshit In my opinion. I am sure someone here will have something different to say.

Is that an Atv you were on?

Booolsheet to say the least......

Every vehicle I own is four wheel drive and has a pair of military issue wire fence cutters on board that I use quite REGULARLY!

The latest bull sheet that I encountered was dealing with the Fuk-tards at Laguna Shores who seem to think they just plain own the whole fuggin world.

That tucked-in Hawaiian shirted penny loafered, dork-assed used car salesman in charge, actually thought I was a potential mark after seein my shiny new F-350 4x4 dually pull up to his office. I asked him how to get to the beach, he says you can park in the lot over there and walk down to the water. When he realized I had no interest in his overpriced cracker boxes called AKA: "condos", he wanted to know how we got past the security guard at the gate on the highway. I told the guard that we were guests of "Jerry Kelly" which I have found out works without a flaw on every gate guard in the region.

So we go back to my truck, drive right over the dune in front of the beach and tool along northward only to be blocked by a fence from the waterline over the dunes and back into the desert towards the highway. I get out my trusty wire cutters and make myself a hole to pass through. Another mile or so there's another fence, so I cut that one and continue on. After a mile or so I come upon another fence with a bunch of kinda new lookin but all vacant beach houses. So I'm cuttin that fence when a so-called "security" guy comes haulin ass over on an old three wheeler and starts a screamin tirade in some asshole lingo that was beyond my level of comprehension. So I drive on thru my new hole and the idjit follows along in his old ride.

Shortly, I come across another fence and with him on my tail I figgure times up and we oughta get the fug outta there. So's I drive up the beach, over the dune and make a cross county dash for the highway. The little guy gives up on his hot pursuit after dodgin flying chunks of Bigelow Cholla being slung from my four rear wheels outfitted with 37" Goodyear Wrangler's with Kevlar sidewalls.

So we get to the highway only to be blocked by more wire fence but this time with concrete posts spaced so close that I can't pass thru. So's I get out my cutters do a few snips then wrap the wire around my front two hook. I give her a little yank and behold, the concrete post is only sittin in a six inch deep bowl of post setting cement. We hit the pavement and head back to RP and I slow down at the Laguna Shores gate only to see Mr. Hawaii Shirt givin the gate guard a raft of shit. I give em a honk and a middle finger and an adios and tell em we will see ya all another day. Which by the way we did a few weeks later when Mr. Hawaii Shirt approaches me at the Malecon in preparation for another lyin spiel about the luxury "condos" at La-Goona Shores. After a few seconds of eye to eye contact he remembers me and it's goodby form low life Mr. Shyster.

Also, he somehow forgot that I pulled the same scam on him back last November but we were in my Ford Raptor.

Ah well.............

Yeah, I had to use a snorkel.

Hey JJ, head on over to New Mexico, try the Black Range there north of the wilderness. Lots of fences blocking access to public lands. Let me know before you go and I'll have a party ready to give you a warm reception.

You dug the trenches in my video? I sure hope not.

As far as Laguna Shores we head in the back side from the estuaries in Cholla. Go around the Golf course cool trails and vacant beach all the way there. Then drop into the neighborhoods there. We head straight to the Pool and get wrist bands for the price of a drink and hung out at the pool for hours. Always good experience but never dealing with any sales men.
Security gets us our wrist band and the rest is poolside service.
No complaints from us.

There is an open gate on the highway and a space north of the fence,to get beach access, thats the problem, all you have to do is drive in...you dont really have to cut fences...there are plenty of accesses, along the highway, where he was at is the end of the estuary, so you cant get on the beach, until you reach my property...and then its open beach to Ejido Salinas de Gortari....

No, The trenches we dug are in Ejido Lagrimas.....you're fine.. No big deal, Jungle Jim... I had just repaired the fences and it aggravated me... The soldiers, drive in all the time, the last time they collasped a drainage line I put in...

Oh ok cool. The area JJ is speaking of we must not be seeing. On our way into Laguna Shores there are some wood poles in the sand running down to the water as we get to the back of the new un developed spots but there is clearly a large enough gap for our sand cars and quad to go through. We don't go down the beach anywhere near the Resort. We just come up one of the trails into a cul-de-sac and then to the resort.
We love it there. The waiters pour us some hella nice drinks too! :)

Ahh, we have been down there. Yeah we had no trouble getting in to the estuaries and once in there there are shitloads of trails to keep adventuring.
JJ just a mega adventure-er, with tools lol.

Well I hope you all dig the video. I think it is something good for the place. Next time I will have a better video rig and I am gonna go all over the damn place.

It might be an individual thing.
When I am there I park my Trailblazer the entire weekend and go EVERYWHERE on the quad. I see cops and wave, they wave back. And my wife and I actually go right by the military barracks going to 8/12 when they are getting loaded up in the morning.
Even at night. It is so fun to drag the Malicon on the quad. Everywhere, knock on wood.
I drive well and respectful and acknowledge the officers and everyone is very nice.
