Hey all. Going fishing? For the first time in my life I got checked for boat registration, fishing licenses and a photo id. ( had them all ). They didn't ask about any safety equipment though. May be they just saw it.
Navy guy was very nice and spoke prety good english.
Remember it is the law and have your stuff on board and licenses in pocket.

I forgot. The Navy guy said this checking is going to become more common practice.

Where fo ou buy your fishing license?

You can buy your fishing license at City Hall. Do not go to the Port Captain's Offfice; they don't sell them there. I'd try to describe which room in city hall, but it's like a maze in there! Ask after you go in and folks will direct you. One guy, small room. I order mine from Vagabundos Del Mar every year, but recently took some friends that needed to get licenses and played run-around to finally find them at City Hall.

You can also order from San Diego. Go online for Mrexican Fishing Licenses and you will find the site. Print the form, fill it out mail a cashiers check and a stamped return envelpe and you will get it or them back in about a week. I have never had a problem. In RP many times the guy is not there and no one else can help you.

Because HAPPY just got a Mexican license he says he won't use, and I thought if that meant to you that you guy's would be fishing in Cali together, that you two star bursts might as well get a license you won't use for our other borders waters too.

Not for surf fishing And I dought for Kyak. They are in a big boat with a very deep draft and I sincerely dought they will go to shallow waters. I also don't think they would stop a kyak even if you were out a ways.
