Bill, it doesn't take much of a boat to catch fish even big ones around Penasco, you just have to fish the seasons, the tides and time of the day, you can catch big grouper, white sea bass and a bunch of other fish but you need to know when less than five miles out from the marina, the there are sierra close in certain times of the year, curvina right in the marina in a small boat its perfect I saw h2joe (I sold him his water truck and named him h2joe) from encanto land a cortez halibut in the marina, also estero morua is good for halibut when the weather starts getting cold, I have hooked nice pinta not too far from in front of the reef rv park for nice fish close in you cant just set up for calicos and triggers you need some big equipment too and need to find out when the fish are here. In Magdalena Bay from a rubber dingy, one afternoon, we caught barracuda, skipjack, sierra, snook and at the mouth of the bay we caught small yellowtail. Then we headed for thetus banks in the big boat dorado, tuna, 13 striped marlin in 3 hours it was as much fun in the dingy with light tackle.

Sure is windy here in Tucson. Thinking of throwing the dog in the truck and taking a ride down. How buot a weather report, is it windy in Penasco?
