I'm a fan of hockey going back to the NY Rangers when I lived in NY and also now the Coyotes. Wish I were in RP to watch with you. I see you are involved with JR hockey. So happens my sister's oldest son ( and my God son) is a good player. He played in the USHL for Indiana Ice a couple years ago (won the Clark Cup first year), then went to Northeastern U. and drafted by Nashville Predators in 6th round. Predators signed him a couple months ago and he had to leave school to join Milwaukee Admirals roster for their playoff run. He first started in the NY Apple Core.

I write for JuniorHockey.com - Junior Ice Hockey Breaking News & Reporting and the USHL is one of the leagues we cover. Pretty cool gig and feel lucky to be able to do it from here. There is a chance that I will get an advisory position with the Mexican Ice Hockey Federation.

There are multiple levels of world competition and Mexico hosted and won the Div III championship in 2011.

Too bad hockey season is just about over. I would've loved to sit and watch hockey with someone who knows something about the game. That would be a strange scene-a bunch of folks in flips and shorts shouting at a tv with guys wearing skates on ice! We can try for Hockey Night in Mexico next year-eh!

We are hosting the first Winter Escape Golf and Beach party here on the Thursday between Christmas and New Years. We should get 40 or so of the craziest hockey coaches down here for a few days. Event will grow like wild fire in the following years.
