Western World Champion Sets His Sights on The Winter Challenge

Kevin Montgomery, PEORIA, Ariz. (January 7, 2013) - 2012 USAC Driver of the Year and Western World Champion, Bryan Clauson, sets his sites on Winter Challenge 2013 at Peoria, Arizona’s Canyon Speedway. The Winter Challenge will mark the first traditional sprint car event of the year with six complete nights of racing in just nine days as the best of the best kick off 2013.

Clauson made his USAC National Sprint Series debut just two days after his 16th birthday on June 17, 2005 and has since recorded more than 60 victories in Sprint Car and Midget competition which ultimately led him to become the 46[SUP]th[/SUP] Annual Western World Champion.

Aboard the Mike Martin owned Ultimate Offroad Maxim/Shaver, Clauson will return to CSP just a little more than two months after his “Magical” Western World Sweep. The duo have compiled several wins at CSP with Clauson sweeping the 2011 Hose Advantage USAC Hall of Fame Classic and The “Magic Man” topping the 2012 edition of the Hall of Fame prior to Clauson’s Sand Chevrolet Western World feet.

The 2013 Winter Challenge will feature top traditional Sprint Car drivers from around the country as the USAC Southwest Sprint Car Series faces off with the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series while IMCA Modified aces converge in the valley of the sun for what is anticipated to be one of the largest racing events of 2013. More than $100,000 in "A" Feature money alone will be distributed over the course of the blockbuster event that kicks off with the $2,000 to win Winter Challenge opener and will conclude with the $5,000 to win finale on February 2[SUP]nd[/SUP].

Nearly 100 drivers from across America will be expected to take part in what will be one of the must see events of 2013 and will feature the Nations top teams all gunning for one of the richest payouts in the west.

what if you would be so kind to answer is USAC I have consulted with my brother Jim he assured me that in this event of racing hasn't a clue as to just what that would be he did say that possibly it is a side show some sort of circus or carnival that would take the stale edge off of the competition this does sound plausable as $100,000 and $5,000 respectivly is hardly sufficiant in terms of funds for a worthy event

Does that godaddy girl play with these big shots?
No but when Tony Stewart was in town last spring for the NASCAR race, he had his Sprint car out here waiting for him and raced both the Friday and Saturday night shows at Canyon. Bryan Clauson who was mentioned in my first post ran Indy last year, is that big shot enough for ya?
