ROBBED.............. in broad daylight in front of hundreds

Yesterday Friday 16 Dec 22 I dropped my Ford Raptor off at the the car washer in Mirador on Fremont across the street from Combo Taco close to the old Fire Station for a ten dollar exterior wash. We went across the street to Giuseppe's for lunch then over to Jessie's for some shrimp and fish for the barbie over the weekend. I have used this guy for the past two years with no complaints and always tip him ten bucks for his great work.

He had one vehicle ahead of us. I gave him the keys and said we would be back in an hour or so.

Upon arrival to pick up the truck I paid him 400 pesos as the truck looked good and asked him for my keys. He said that he has LOST THEM!

On that key chain was the $250.00 smart ignition key, my house key in Yuma, my office key, my shop key, my PO Box key and my safe key in my office!

He gave me a sob story about maybe they dropped out of his pocket somewhere but could or would not even try to help me out.

This morning we did a 180 degree ass haul back to Yuma to beat the robbers before they could ravage my place. We pulled in at around five thirty with my brother-in-law on hand inside awaiting the intruders.

This "little" event is going to cost me over a thousand bucks in order to secure my property to include a new ignition key and all of the locksmith costs!

On our way down on Thursday I told the wife to beware of any shifty shit as the Penasco Mexicans are always very hungry at this time of the year.

Who wadda thunk!

Beware people.

Damn, what a drag but my guess is what was happening was you came back too soo as he passed the keys on to get it copied so it could be boosted later. ? You arrived back first .

I hadn't even thought about him getting them copied but more than likely true. As for how we got home to Yuma the wife had here set of keys less our business safe key. I'm sitting here dreaming up ideas on how to beak in to it.

Anyway never underestimate the criminal mind even a three hour drive in another country.

By the way has anyone heard anything related to this past November baby sea turtles emerging?

We saw no egg shells anywhere. The October hurricane must have caused a total washout of all nests.

Dumbass. I'm 100% sure your FOB, like my F250 FOB completely disconnects the key ring from the FOB itself, along with the key that allows you to lock the console, the glove boxes and the back seat.

Which I do anytime I have my truck washed here in the States. Let alone Mehico.

Still, sorry for ya JJ. After they busted my door locks and broke a key off in the ignition trying to steal my ol' 7.3 right the fuck in front of Playa Inn, learned that lesson HARD. Oddly enough, there was a $1000 cash in the console and an easy $2000 in fishing gear in the back of truck (had a locking ARE camper shell on it.) None of it fucking touched. They wanted that diesel to sell to the cartel. I know 3 others that got their 7.3's hoisted, one with supposed security right in the parking lot of Playa Penasco or whatever the fuck it was called then across from Max's.

That little run of stolen F250 diesels make me watch my shit like a grouper on a bonefish.

Trust no one.

No matter how much we want to tell ourselves our region of Mx is really no different than a small city in Ca or Az, the differences are immense. In our 27 years of owning a home and various other properties, we know from too many bad experiences they will steal the air out of your tires if they can make money on it.

How about the ZaGas guys that deliberately drain all of the propane from your tank before filling it. I've caught them doing it twice now. All I asked from them was to "top off" the tank.

Fucking thieves??? Absolutely! And they are just paid employees. So what do they get out of it?

Anytime when we get the truck or RZR cleaned all personal information with addresses on it leaves with us. Including going out for dinner.

They survive off tip. salary is nothing. I understand the guys and girls at the grocery stores have to buy the safety vests and they are not even paid by the store to help you pack your vehicle and take your cart away. Only tips.
We tip them good for just taking the cart away.
The kids bagging you stuff are on tips also. So tip them well that's their only income.
