Rental activity in Winter

Not much calls for condo in winter. But I think I need to rethink that. There are less crowds, each resort has at least one pool heated. Old Port is open. Yes, you need a sweater but you need one here in Tucson. We need to have some things going on that people can do in the winter. Does Mermaid Market run all year?

There's a lot happening in Penasco in winter- Taste of Penasco, Iron Chef, used to have Mardi Gras parade, hopefully that will happen this year. It's beautiful!

We were down over New Years weekend last year and you definitely needed more than a sweater. It was COLD and WINDY. But I'd still rather be there.

Winter is hit or miss... We were down for new years 3 or 4 years ago and were laying out on the beach. Weather was amazing. Going to head down for Thanksgiving weekend this year and keeping my fingers crossed.

We have had lots of good times in RP during the winter months over the years. If the sun is shining, which it is most of the time, it will be nice. If the wind blows, move to a new spot out of the wind and it will be nice. If it's cloudy and blowing, bundle up and enjoy the day! Fires are great in the winter, both inside and out. The seafood is always great in the cold months. The shrimp are fresh and sweet, and the oysters from the oyster farm are unbelievable. Great time to BBQ, enjoy shopping at the Malacon, tacos and beer for lunch, dinner at a fine restaurant... Need I go on? :mexico:

Winter is our best time to be down there. The only heat we have is a vent less fire place and two wall heaters and it warms the place up fast in the morning. The best part is having the fog roll in every now and then. Now that is impressive.

Our Rocky Point season starts November 15th and goes to March 1st. You can check the weather and book at the last minute because the resorts are so slow. We have never thought it was too cold. If the sun is out, it's beautiful.

Years ago the winter months used to be a very busy time because all the snow birds would fill the trailer parks. Sadly, they closed so many of them. It would get quite wild at Elegante around 3 PM when happy hour started. The beaches were packed on the weekends. I miss those days.

Was there for Taste of Penasco..... weather was perfect. Have been going over Pres Day weekend for last 9 years and can only remember one trip when it was kinda cold and rained for a couple of days. But weather went from rainy to sunny and in the 80's the very next day.
