For those of you aware of the Doce Wildfire currently burning north of Prescott, the rodeo grounds is the temporary home for evacuated horses and large animals and even a baby goat. We hope the fire will be contained well before rodeo. If you are interested in updates on the fire, you may check out www.dcourier.com. Leo Camarillo, a world champion team roper, is our Grand Marshal for our parade this year. Leo has won many buckles at the Prescott rodeo and we are honored that he is participating in our parade.

If you're looking for something free and fun this weekend, check out the Prescott Bluegrass Festival downtown on the south side of the courthouse plaza. As always, www.visit-prescott.com has a list of all local events. Also remember that our rodeo dance has moved this year. It's now located at the Windsock Lounge/Goodwill parking lot at 1365 Iron Springs Road. Thursday night is Family Night and Friday/Saturday is for adults 21 and over. You know they canned some top cops for that deal. That must be the same fire Jerry and it's very close to to being 100% contained. Very small area involved now.

I just received Joni's email Jerry, and I guess there is a new fire up that way but it hasn't made the news yet. I'll be going up tomorrow, but hopefully with our crews and the out of state boy's as well, it will be jumped on fast and hard.
