No Left/Right rant here, but really? What the hell did America get committed to today by Obama? If anybody here doubts that the minute we pull our troops, that the Afghanis and Taliban will all be singing kum-bah-ya... well... dream on. Mission accomplished, get our boys the hell outta there and be done with it once and for all. To your point, RPJoe... we learned not a damned thing from the Russians. And obviously nothing from the dead and injured American soldiers. They don't like us and would just as soon see us all dead in the name of their god. It's not a war any nation on earth will ever win.
