To celebrate World Environment Day under the eighteenth anniversary of Pinacate, the Municipal Institute of Sport calls for the wider community to be part of the XI Cycling Race to be held this coming Sunday 05 June.
Fernando López Trasviña IMD Director explained that the race starts in front of the City Hall facility with the goal of the Biosphere Reserve in km 52 of road-Sonoyta Peñasco.
He announced that in this competition are female and male branches in open and masters categories for all stakeholders who wish to join this race rider.
Trasviña Lopez said that the registration will be conducted free of charge at the offices of City Hall from 7:00 in the morning or stakeholders can communicate via e-mail [email protected] .
The Municipal Clerk called on all citizens to participate in such activity that has as main objective to further promote physical activity among our community to benefit the health of peñasquenses.

18 companies certified by the tourist industry in Puerto Peñasco

With the goal of our municipality is considered one of the best in providing a good deal to its visitors, Mayor Alejandro Zepeda Munro and Training Director of Tourism Culture and Cofetur Jesús María Samaniego M Different delivery made to 18 companies the town related to the tourist industry.
In the presence of the Delegate for Tourism Laura Palacio Soto, the Mayor and Jesus Samaniego gave the certificates to representatives of organizations which have successfully completed training through the program · Modernizate ¨.
Companies that have received this appointment was The Point Restaurant, Rocky Point Reservations, Sushi Sun Restaurant, The Blue Marlin, El Sombrero Bar and Grill, Essence Magazine, Viña del Mar Hotel and Tourist Gonse SA DE CV
The Restaurant as well as Citron, Laguna del Mar, Sea Side, Coffee Point, Cofetur Puerto Penasco, Hotel Paraiso, Laos Mar Hotel, Penasco del Sol Hotel, Restaurant Sunset Bar, and New Temazcal Spa.
Munro Zepeda extended congratulations to all the representatives of various organizations for having met established quality standards and the training obtained to improve the tourist service and treatment.
He recognized all the organizations could you be interest in constantly training to become better and better to offer the warmth and cordiality to visitors who come to their shops.
¨ I am very grateful to all of you for the interest shown, the add value to their services to meet as it deserves all the people who visit us here in Puerto Penasco ¨, he stressed.
Jesus Samaniego Director General of Training and Culture Tourism added that the training and education is one of the main pillars of a company, which recognized the work of all staff present to receive this training.

Memorial Day Success

A success was the celebration of Memorial Day in Puerto Peñasco to overcome the influx of tourists than in previous years as well end with a white balance, Alejandro Zepeda said Munro.
The Mayor said that American tourists who came during the weekend by 100% filled beach hotel while the rest registered an average occupancy of 80%.
"It was a good weekend, we exceeded the inflow of previous years and most of all, we had a white balance, which continues to reaffirm that Puerto Peñasco is a quiet and safe for our visitors," he said.
More than 30 000 visitors and an estimated economic benefit to a million dollars is what the figures were estimated to throw the traditional Memorial Day festivities in our city where the vast majority of tourists came from the United States.
He stressed that the trend of influx of tourists continue to be recorded on the rise compared to year, as happened with the recent holidays like Spring Break, Easter, Carnival, among others.
"Importantly, we continue with the upward trend, Rocky is still establishing itself as a preferred place to vacation, the climate of security and tranquility, coupled with the natural attractions make us as a favorite place for tourists," he said.
