Need small electric water heater....

My friend's 20 gallon electric water heater (110v) took a crapper....looks like the tank finally corroded and is leaking. When I was down last weekend, I checked a couple of shops for a replacement, but couldn't find one that size that was electric (110v). Can anyone recommend a shop that carries one in Penasco?

Also, would it be more cost effective to bring one down from Phoenix( if I can get thru the border without paying the duty)?

Could use the name of someone that can install it....I can do it, but not being a plumber, locating the right size fittings would be a bit time consuming.

Definately buy it in the states. If it's a decent install originally you should be able to just hook up the same. Just be sure to throw the breaker first !!

Joe I have an extra one in in a closet at our shop. not sure how big it is we have never even hooked it up you can have it if you want. all it is doing is collecting dust PM me

That Tom is a Godsend! I finally filled up the propane tank this week and turned it on. The trailer filled up with propane in less than 30 seconds!!!!!!! We turned it off and called Tom. In less than an hour he diagnosed the problem and capped the leak. It was my oven. Boo, I can't bake now. I am looking for a new stove. While he was there, he capped off my hot water heater as I have an electric one now, my heat, as it broke and I don't need it, and my fridge as it broke and I am replacing it with an apartment size electric one. He had to go get a part, too, while he was there. What did all that cost me? 60 bucks and he cleaned up his mess, pressure tested the lines and LIT my pilots!!!! Will I be calling him again? You bet!!!!!!

not only is he a good repair man he has almost anything for a trailer trasher in his little van at a very reasonable price and if you find him in his house in RP he even give you a non driving discount for the parts!! at least he did to me!
